One of Playstation’s biggest games might come to PC
Sources told Kotaku Horizon Zero Dawn will come to PC in the near future. This news was surprising and we are still waiting to hear Sony comment but if it does it signals a change for everyone in the gaming industry. Being a Sony exclusive that many people loved moving it to PC means more people can play it, same as Xbox’s mindset putting so many games other places.
For as much as this would take away exclusives for consoles, I’m sure there are enough people out there that want consoles because of the ease of use that they wouldn’t stop using them. And it shows another change in this new age of games. Just a few years ago we pushed for cross play with games, and developers finally started allowing it. We’re not close to every game being able to be played together, but we have started.
Having games come to other platforms means more people can play them, and share these experience, which is one of the most important things when it comes to gaming. We’ll just have to wait and see if Sony pushes more games to other consoles.
Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux available to pre-load… in Europe
After a leak from the ratings board two Metro games have been put up to pre-order in Europe. Not sure when they will come out over here but they are said to be out in February. With this leak being true we can only hope that the Bioshock leak was true as well. These are two games that were great on the previous consoles and would be a great way to get into the series, granted they run well. And while we can’t imagine it staying in Europe, Brain Training as yet to come out over here so we’re crossing our fingers.
We got the last Smash Bro’s DLC and it’s…
So the last smash direct for the last fighter of the fighters pass came out today. After the third party character that came before it is surprising. It’s Byleth from Fire Emblem Three Houses. I say this is surprising because everyone else was third party, but also seems like it figures as with Fire Emblem growing in popularity since Awakening we’ve had more added to Smash, to mixed reception. While it may not be what you want remember we get more DLC for Smash later so try not to be upset. Byleth comes out January 28th. And hey we got a Cuphead costume out of it!
The Pokémon Direct This Morning Expanded On The Galar Region And An Old Goodie Comes Back
The Pokémon Direct happened this morning and while we only got two announcements they were rather big announcements. First, they announced that we’re getting remakes of the first two Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games in one package on Switch coming out on March 6,2020. We didn’t get too much other info but the gameplay we saw showed great improved visuals and we can’t wait to play it.
Then the bigger news. Like is common with Pokémon games it would be fair to assume that we were expecting a sequel to Sword & Shield down the line that would add the content we had wanted when it came out. But Gamefreak surprised us with the announcement of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pack. Not only does this expansion put old Pokémon in the Galar region, it gives you new activities, as well as new stories to go through as well as new legendary Pokémon.
These two expansions will be broken up into two parts. These two DLC have themes to them and the first ones is Growth and will be named the Isle of Armor. It will come out in June of 2020. You’ll be taken to a new part of the Galar region to train with Leon’s mentor, and new rivals. They’ll also be a new legendary you can catch named Kubfu which will have different typing based on the game.
The second DLC is about discovery and is named The Crown Tundra which will come out in Fall 2020.In it you’ll join an exploration team to explore this area. You’ll also find a new legendary named Calyrex. It also introduces a new form of co-op. Ever wondered what the raid dens looked like if you could walk around in them? In this DLC you’ll be able to explore them with your friends and in here you’ll be able to find old legendaries.
The DLC pass also introduces new looks for your trainer and new challenges on the main island after you complete it. And so no one gets left in the cold, an update will be pushed out to allow people with the dlc to trade the Pokémon with people who don’t have the DLC.
I think this is a step in the right direction. If it means a cheaper way to get more fun out of Pokémon ( which I was probably gonna buy anyway) I’m glad for it. Some of it maybe should of been in the game from the beginning but this is better than ignoring us and just making another game for $60.
The Expansion Pass will be $30 and you can pre order now.
Will The Pokemon Direct Announce The Features We Want?
We previously wrote an article on Nintendo not having a normal direct but a Pokémon direct instead this week but if a deleted tweet is anything to go by it might be what many Pokémon fans have wanted from Sword and Shield. The big controversy before Sword and Shield came out was that we weren’t getting all the Pokémon in the games. This met a lot of backlash and started a lot of hashtags against Game Freak and the Pokémon company, boycotting the games. Despite this,Pokémon Sword & Shield have sold 6 million copies since it’s release in November. According to this deleted tweet, however some of the deleted Pokémon might be getting put into the game. In the now deleted tweet from PlayPokemon it shows a Gastrodon, a Pokémon not yet available in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Whether we get it put in Galar or can transfer it from old games we don’t know yet but the Pokémon Direct should be exciting.

You can get one of Nintendo’s first party games for $1.00 Right Now
As of right now you can get Yoshi’s Crafted World as a digital download from target for $1.00. We have no idea how long this will last but we would jump on it soon. Yoshi’s Crafted World was net with lukewarm response, the same as it’s previous iterations for being to easy and not introducing anything too new. That aside it’s a alright game that we would get while it’s so cheap
The Switch Pro Rumors are exciting but don’t get your hopes up
Rumors of a Switch Pro have been circulating since last year the same way there were rumors of a Switch Lite. Obviously the Switch Lite came to fruition but we have yet to hear official mention of a pro. Then a few days ago Digitimes reported that Nintendo had started manufacturing a new Switch model with it being release in the middle of 2020. This lined up with Games Analyst Serkan Toto who said that Nintendo would release a Switch Pro in 2020. And for as much as I hope it’s true like with everything till official confirmation it’s worth taking this with a pinch of salt. For starters Toto predicted the Switch Pro Last year as well. While that does rule out his prediction as he did predict the Switch Lite, I think the fact that the Switch Pro has been hyped up for so long is what’s adding fuel to these fires. With the Ps5 and Xbox Scarlett coming out this year Nintendo will want to do something that helps them not just get buried by Microsoft and Sony so the rumors have a reason to exist. But I’m also reminded that Nintendo made due with the Wii which was severely underpowered and even care out on top that generation. I hope the Switch gets a more powerful model because it has become my favorite console. I just hope the idea of these rumors don’t get people to excited.
Level Cap In Super Mario Maker Up to 100 levels
In celebration of 10 million playable courses in Super Mario Maker Nintendo has upped the number of courses users can post. You can now post 100 courses, allowing many to make the remake games of their dreams. We can’t wait to see the unique and fun level gauntlets that can come out of this. With fan made games like Super Mario World Remix already existing even with the limit in Mario Maker it’ll be exciting to see what the community comes up with next
Nintendo trolls everyone, announces a Pokémon direct
So, we finally in the new year and like always at the beginning of a new year we excitingly wait for a Nintendo Direct. There are rumors there could be a direct this month, and even more rumors the maintenance being done on the online between Monday January 7th and Tuesday January 8th was for a big update but the direct we’re having I don’t think people were expecting. On it’s Twitter page today Nintendo announced that a Pokémon Direct is happening on the 9th on January with “new Pokémon information”. The didn’t give any clues as to what info it could be but we would guess it’s too early to announce the sinnoh remakes( please god) or the next games of the series. But this is definitely not the direct people were expecting, for better or worse.
